Lab 1: MatLab,Data fitting,Calibration methods
MatLab is an exceptionally powerful platform for working with scientific data. In order to begin to see the value of such a software tool we will first collect a rather complex data set to work with. You will use of CMOS webcam to profile the Gaussian beam profile from a laser diode. You will need to align the camera and laser diode and attenuate the laser intensity so as not to saturate the camera. [Experimental details to come]
